Ruston’s Inaugural Railroad Makers and Music Festival kicked off on the morning of Saturday, April 8, downtown. Previously known as the Maker’s Fair, the added music lineup transformed the event into a whole day affair, giving patrons the opportunity to listen to great local artists while shopping for works made by great local artists! Joshua Mitchell, founder of the Maker’s Fair and Railroad Fest wanted to create a celebration of culture and arts of the region. Everything from alternative to indie and rock and roll music was performed, as over 100 artists showcased handmade jewelry, woodwork, apparel, art and more.
